MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY – EM REC LIMITED

Policy statement

EM REC LIMITED (“EmRec”) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and in our supply chains. We take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of exploitation, forced labour, servitude, or human trafficking.

Our business

EmRec is a medical recruitment business operating in the UK and Ireland. We work with candidates, clients, and suppliers to source and place workers in healthcare and related settings.

Responsibilities

Everyone working for or on behalf of EmRec has a responsibility to help prevent, identify, and report modern slavery risks. Management is responsible for ensuring appropriate controls are in place and that concerns are acted on.

Our approach and controls

·         We aim to reduce the risk of modern slavery through:

·         Safer recruitment practices: verifying identity and (where applicable) right to work, experience, and references.

·         Compliance and safeguarding focus: encouraging reporting of concerns and escalating where appropriate.

·         Supplier due diligence: taking reasonable steps to assess key suppliers and expecting them to meet legal and ethical standards.

·         Ethical working practices: not tolerating abusive practices, coercion, or threats in any part of our operations.

·         Awareness: ensuring staff understand how to raise concerns.

Reporting concerns

If you suspect modern slavery or exploitation:

Email: info@emrec.co.uk with the subject line “Modern Slavery Concern”

Phone: 0330 043 9960 (urgent concerns)

If there is an immediate risk to life or safety, call emergency services (999 in the UK / 112 or 999 in Ireland).

We will treat reports seriously and handle them confidentially where possible. Anyone raising a concern in good faith will not be penalised.

Review

This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated as needed.
